Specialised manufacturing

New Zealand is well known for creative thinking and its no surprise that manufacturing is the most innovative of New Zealand's business sectors. In Auckland the sector accounts for 15% of the workforce and has become highly specialised.

Two key specialities are Food and Beverage and Marine, which are producing specialised commodities for the global market.

Auckland engineering and manufacturing companies have the flexibility to undertake short, specialised production runs that would be uneconomic in mass production operations.

Combined with innovative and a can-do attitude, companies are able to produce prototypes in a variety of materials and achieve rapid re-tooling when required.
