Rugby World Cup 2011

In 2011 Auckland will be the hub of the Rugby World Cup. The region will come alive like never before as it hosts the final at a revamped Eden Park.

PLATO™ New Zealand

This international business mentoring and peer support programme will be introduced in New Zealand for the first time in mid 2008. The two-year pilot in Auckland offers owners and managers of small and medium sized businesses a unique opportunity to receive comprehensive training and mentoring alongside like-minded companies.

Digital Content Project

The new AucklandPlus digital content sector development programme marks a major step forward for the region. Building on the $1.7billion of GDP Auckland’s digital content sector already directly contributes to the economy, the initiative aims to increase productivity, growth and export reach.

Marine Industry Project

Auckland’s renowned marine industry is set to grow considerably. By enhancing future infrastructure, the marine project aims to support its development.

Screen Production Project

The Screen Production Project will further boost Auckland's popularity as a screen production location with a new state of the art sound stage, a high-end training programme and an international marketing campaign promoting Auckland's and New Zealand’s screen production capability.
