Screen industry

The Auckland region has a strong history in producing local dramas, television commercials, post-production and visual effects as well as international television and film projects such as the Hercules and Xena series, Power Rangers and most recently The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

The many picturesque locations, skilled and experienced crews, innovative technological capability and state of the art post-production facilities in Auckland has made Auckland the most active screen production region in the country.

The development of a state of the art sound stage in Waitakere city is currently in the research phase.
