The Angel Association has signed co-operation agreements with associations in Australia, the US and Europe.
Angel Association chairman Andy Hamilton says syndicated angel deals or group investments are starting to happen across national borders after rising in popularity within countries in the past few years.
"For a young New Zealand company looking to expand to, for example, the US, having a US angel investor alongside some New Zealand angels could help greatly in terms of that company’s knowledge and understanding of the US market. Syndication also greatly expands the potential capital available," he says.
Australian representatives are signed up to attend a local summit later this year and the association hopes to send local investors overseas next year.
Mr Hamilton says the association is also looking to build links with Asian networks.
